Two families went to the Sonic restaurant in
Orange Park, FL off of Wells Road May 16, 2009. It was after our girls softball practice and we decided to order and sit in their outside seating area to enjoy the weather. After ordering went to use restrooms before food arrived. The
doors were locked! Asked manager why and she stated that "we don't allow people to use the restrooms after 9pm." What! You're open for business, we are paying customers but we are not allowed to use your facilities because of "security" reasons? There is absolutely NO
EXCUSE for this practice. We will certainly not patronize Sonic again but will take our business to restaurants with open facilities.

I noticed that as well and have stopped going to Sonic. The food is only average anyway and I don't won't to have to worry about if I have to used the restroom when it's locked. Besides, I like to wash my hands before I sit down to eat, especially in an outside eating area! YUCK!

You should have peed on the door to the locked restroom or better yet, left a nice steaming "loaf" right in front of the locked restroom door!

If Sonic locks up the restrooms for the night at 9pm they should also completely close for business. It's disgusting not being able to wash your hands and what if you just drank a huge pepsi or something and have to pee, oh my! Yes, they should go ahead and close for the night because you would naturally assume that the restrooms are always open to paying customers. What a shame Sonic.
